About Ohio Heathen Confedracy:
An Independent Organization based on Community & Particpation, Not Dues
The Ohio Heathen Cofederacy (OHC) is an independent organization welcoming all stripes of heathenry to come together in frith. Participation in OHC is activity and character based, instead of membership based. To connect and enjoy resources, you can be vetted by an upstanding participant, or, you can connect locally and then attend at least two regularly scheduled OHC events. All visitors are welcome to enjoy a provisional Midgard Social Network account until such time they can meet locally, or attend a state wide gatherings.

Initiatives: Groups in Ohio are active, learn about the Ohio Hof, go to a blacksmithing workshop, work with Rune Gilders, learn how to use technology or think about your role to help us secure legal status for our rites and customs.
Midgard Social Network: Myspace style social network just for us. Keep a blog, hit the BB, group edit books or teach classes. Hoard lore with members across the state or start your own group. All free to use, and open to individuals, family members and supporters
Webmail: Individuals and groups are welcome to their own anything@ohio-heathens.org webmail address to converse and connect with others throughout the state. Once you meet locally and attend OHC events, you can request your own.
Principles of Operation
Ohio features a rich landscape of social, religious and creative practices. Across the state are found, various groups and organizations friendly to those tru to the gods, the ways of our ancestors and self sustaining community, religious, creative and economic practices. Each kindred site and each individual in OHC stands as a singular rede of the Ohio Well, and are free to operate and act in accordance with their principles of leadership, custom, will and practices. Rather than divine arbitrary councils and count on the state, OHC is modeled after the concept of confederacy encouraging and supporting the local---while maintaining an active dialogue between groups, individuals and organizations. Whether you are affiliated with a national group, a local group or, are solitary not having had the chance to meet others tru to the gods, with OHC, you are welcome to act, share, enjoy, serve, and gods forbid, disagree. OHC is a Heathens Against Hate operation meaning, we do not offer resources, support or general hospitality to any groups/individuals that espouse or act to profane our religion through on racist, violent, nationalistic or facists agendas.
