Ohio Heathen Confederacy: Heathen by Action, not affiliation
Ohio-Heathens.org is an independent, community supported network developed in response to meeting the challenge of providing social channels, communication tools, resources and technological tools for the benefit of individuals, groups and heathen family members of the Ohio Well.

"Heathen" transliterated from the Old Norse term "Hedinn Manr" and/or Old English "Heath", is a general term for one who practices the ancient polytheistic religion of Northern Europe and should not to be confused with the christian conception of the "uncoverted", a failed ideology and irrelevant cognate. In modern times, Heathen is a generalized in-group term for one who venerates the Northern Europens Gods (i.e. Odin, Freyja, Freyr, Frigga, Tyr, Heimdall etc) through a spectrum of ancestral, theological, philosphical or community based beliefs known commonly as Asatru, Vanatru, Odinism, OR, Troth, Theodism, Irmisul or Forn Sed.  Although Ohio Heathen Confederacy participants themselves may practice any of these particular modes of worship, Ohio Heathen Confederacy does not prescribe, nor promote a particular modality of worship, keeping our focus on cultivating resources to connect belief with purpose, initiative with opportunities to act, community with conscience and kinship.
